Meet the Trust Team!

Hello! We’re Cal & Jo. In early 2015 we wrote our Mission Statement and by October, with a fair wind and by literally gathering together every penny we had, we built our company around it. We felt that the recipient of care really did need to be the primary driver for everything we do. We also felt that many care staff were being undervalued and wanted to correct that from day one. We’ve both worked in staffing and care for many years (Cal won’t let us put actual years on here!) and as a result, launched with a strict and robust training & compliance process that has only improved with time. In 2017 we upgraded from a Care Agency to a Nursing Agency and our Training Academy continues to grow in popularity.

The best thing about our job is the ongoing relationships we’ve built with our service users, staff and customers. Also, seeing that we make a real difference to people’s lives makes everything we do worthwhile.

Sometimes, we get a day off. When we do, we try and make up for all the time spent sat a desk. Cal is often taken on hill walking excursions by his boss, Ludo and is a budding chef. Jo learnt to ride a horse in 2016 and has discovered a hidden talent for gardening. Together, we can also be found exploring Edinburgh’s more social establishments but those are stories for another time!

Stewart Davis

Hello. My name is Stewart Davis. I am 27 years old and I have spent 27 years of my life in Edinburgh but I do like my holidays and I’m a frequent traveller! I have been working in the healthcare sector for 4 years now and I can honestly say I have met some fantastic people throughout my career. When I am clocked out of the office, you can find me with my friends and family, cheering on my local football team or in one of the very few remaining live music venues around Edinburgh. I have a keen interest in boxing, and like to spend time down my local boxing gym. I recently participated in a charity bout in which I won, but most importantly raised lots of money for Cancer research UK. I also appreciate good food and the great outdoors.

Owen Nayar

Hi my name is Owen. I finished school in 2017 and originally joined Trust as an apprentice. In my spare time I love playing football and the team I currently play for is Tranent Juniors U19’s. I have played football for as long as I can remember and it’s always been a massive part of my life. Last year I got the opportunity to coach my school’s 1st year football team and I look to carry that on this year as well. I was proud to win the following awards: Volunteer of the year, Coach of the year, Champions of the league (Coaching), Champions of the league (Playing). Other than football I love spending time with my friends and family.

Shirley Cremin

Hello, I’m Shirley. Before joining the Trust team in 2018 I had spent  8 years working in the care sector, supporting individuals with complex care needs to live fulfilling and independent lives in their own homes. I have an SVQ 3 in social care and was a senior worker and manager of a supported living service for a number of years.

In my free time I like to be outdoors and can regularly be found on Portobello beach with my dog Leia (Star Wars fan!). I love an adventure and try to get away abroad when possible but equally enjoy a trip in Scotland when I get a chance.

Ludo “the Dudo” Harris – Managing Director

I’m Ludo! I have been Trust’s unofficial mascot and official MD for my whole entire life. My many skills involve overenthusiastic greetings for everyone who comes through the door, regular sprints around the office and dragging my bed from one sun spot to another to ensure maximum sunny snoozes. My favourite things to do are going for big long walks up hills and meeting new doggy best friends. I don’t like to play fetch ‘cos there are always too many interesting things to smell and chew instead! Come visit me so I can show you how good I am at talking!

Bernie “B-Man” Davis – Finance Director

I’m Bernie! I was born on September 29th, 2015. I am an Edinburgh Pug, but my family are from China. You can usually find me sitting at my desk in the office, paying the bills and making sure all our excellent staff get paid on time. In my spare time, I like to go walking. I enjoy exploring Cramond Island, Corstorphine Woods or Cammo Estate. If I am being lazy, I may just run around my back garden playing football. My favourite treats are Bacon & Cheese Whirlers and on a Sunday, I am allowed some ham! Anyway, come in and see me, I have loads to tell you…
